| Fair Haven is a peninsula on the East side of New Haven bounded by the Mill and Quinnipiac Rivers. It's early inhabitants built houses along the Quinnipiac River in a place they called, Dragon, due to the frequency of sunning seals. The oystering and fishing village blossomed into one of the principal manufacturing neighborhoods in the city. Today Fair Haven is the center of the city's hispanic community. |
