East Shore
Including The Annex, Morris Cove, Lighthoue Point, Fair Haven Heights, Foxon Neighborhoods |
The East Shore used to be part of East Haven until 1881, when it joined New Haven. The Qunnipiac tribe, the oldest known residents of New Haven, lived here during the warmer months. Their reservation, the first Native American reservation in the country, was established by the Puritan Colonists soon after their contact in 1638. |
